Hi! I’m Kris! And I’m so gratefully you are here! Your journey to growth begins here. Whether its in your home or your garden, come and grow with me. Let’s grow together.
It’s timeeeeeee! Yes, my friend, its time to start seeds. The long days of winters are almost over, and spring is almost upon us. So its time to break out your seeds, your supplies, and your faith, and get started. It’s time to start your very own plant party! 🌿
Grab your cape (or just a gardening hat) and assemble your gear:
Check your local frost date (because plants don’t like frosty surprises). Then, count backward to figure out when to start your seeds. It’s like planning a surprise party for your veggies! Remember – each plant (flower or vegetable) will have a different time when you should start them, so don’t forget to read the back of your seed packet for all of the details.
Moisten the soil, fill your containers, and create little seed nests. Plant those seeds with love. Imagine you’re tucking them in for a cozy nap, and in no time they will be ready to come up.
Cover your containers with a humidity dome (or saran wrap) and place them on a heat mat. It’s like a spa day for seeds. Soon, they’ll sprout and wave hello!
Remove the cover once they pop up. Introduce them to the grow light. Adjust the height like a DJ dropping beats—6 inches above the seedlings, please!
When your seedlings grow up, thin them out. Keep the strongest ones. It’s like a plant talent show, and only the best get the spotlight.
Bottom-water your seedlings. Let the top soil dry out a bit before the encore. No soggy socks for these little green performers!
Take your seedlings outside for a few hours. Let them feel the breeze, soak up the sun, and practice their garden dance moves. They’re almost ready for the big stage!
Plant your seedlings in the garden. High-five yourself—you’ve just orchestrated a botanical symphony!
Remember, starting seeds is like hosting a mini Oscars for plants. They’ll thank you with juicy tomatoes, crunchy cucumbers, and leafy greens. So go forth, my green-thumbed friend, and let the seedling adventure begin! 🌱✨
P.S. If your seedlings start whispering secrets, don’t worry—it’s just their way of saying “thank you.” 😉🌼
